After much search and did not find almost nothing to explain how to make an automatic feeder for birds, we're back to share on this blog as an initiative from ideas do little did it, how it works and also how to assemble an outfit like that.
It is a homely and simple mounting, in which I used some knowledge of mechanical, electrical, a little creativity and imagination.
I looked for easy acquisition materials in old irons, such as:
01 12 V source, like that used on microcomputers, at least 300 W 10 A, if they get a bigger, better yet;
01 motor of windscreen.

Look for one that has the tip of the shaft for easy coupling with the Auger, however, any template can be adapted.
3 mt galvanized sheet squares, wood or a plastic drum of 50 litres;
01 Iron billet 34 X 180 mm for the axis feeder; (helical).
01 pvc pipe 50 X 180 mm;
06 washers 44 X 20 mm;
02 bearings 6204 armored;
100 POP rivets or nails; (if you use steel plates or madeirite)
05 welding rods 6013 X 2.5 mm;
02 screws with nut and washers M6 X 25 mm;
200 mm thin steel bar 12 mm x 3 mm
I remind you that these materials described are just a reference to the project that I have executed, and can be altered to taste of the constructor, for example, the size of the bearings, the reservoir type foods, etc.
I am showing only some few measures, therefore, I want to leave the imagination of each working alone and maybe get a result most suited to your needs.

Important tips for the success of this project:
Search on the net, how to turn a PC into a 12 V source to trigger the engine of your feeder. It's super-easy.
My tip is: using a ATX source, for example, you must solder the ends of the Green wire to a black wire. Without that it doesn't turn on.
All yellow wires are 12 V and all black people are negative. I made a whip selecting 03 03 yellow and black wires. It's enough to feed the engine.
Another tip is that this kind of source must be connected to a load any before being connected to the electric network (127220V), otherwise, if you just, pull the ends of the wires to the terminals of the motor, to make a test, she will understand how a short circuit and will lock. I don't think it got burned.
After a few seconds it reactivates. Connect the yellow to the positive terminal and whip lash black to negative. Insulate well and ready. It will spin right.
ATTENTION
Someone may be wondering: But, where are the feet of this feeder?
Let me explain: my intention is to install this power supply failed on the wall, the 80 cm from the ground to prevent invaders like rats, other animals and even theft.
As I said at the beginning, this project is only a reference point for those who want to ride an equal. Besides, the corner pieces 04 would solve problem of lack his feet quickly, OK?
